Artists in the Garden
Friday, April 24th
10 Easy Street, Nantucket from 10am to 5pm
Come wander the beautiful Ten Easy Street garden and discover a joyful collection of daffodil-inspired treasures and other beautiful local finds by Island artisans, including Sconset and Beyond, Barrie Prints, handcrafted ceramics, decoupage shells and more. Every purchase gives back: proceeds from the Market will support Island non-profits, including NiSHA.
NiSHA will have daffy-inspired flower attachments for pet collars and other treats and toys available for purchase.

Daffy Dog Parade
Saturday, April 25th at Noon
Children's Beach at 15 Harbor Way, Nantucket
Deck out your four-legged companion in their Daffodil best for a howling good time! Join the Chamber in partnership with NiSHA for our Daffodil Dog Parade. Awards will be presented to the most dapper dog for an adorably memorable experience with the family.
Sign-up on on the corner of Main and Federal Streets during the Antique Car Show or at Children's Beach after 12:15 PM. Staging begins at 12:30 PM at Children's Beach bandstand, Harbor View Way, directly after the Antique Cars head to Siasconset.
This is a Nantucket Island Chamber of Commerce Signature Event.

R.E.A.D. with a Buddy
Saturdays in May from 11am to 12pm
Mitchell's Book Corner, 54 Main Street
NiSHA's Pet Partner Therapy Animal teams are partnering with Mitchell's Book Corner in May for a fun hour of reading with pets. Stop by, choose a book, and read to one of our therapy pets. A great opportunity to become more confident with your reading skills in a nonjudgmental enrivonment.
Reading sessions will be every Saturday in May from 11am to 12pm at Mitchell's Book Corner at 54 Main Street. Just drop in, no sign up necessary.
Sessions could extend into June, more information to come.

Dog and Puppy Meet and Greet
Sunday, May 17 from 12pm to 2pm
11 Crooked Lane, Upper Backyard
Join us on Sunday, May 17 for a special public drop-in event to meet NiSHA’s available dogs and puppies! No appointment or pre-approval is required—just stop by and meet some wonderful animals looking for their forever homes. Fair warning: you may very well fall in love with your new best friend.
For those who think they may be ready to adopt, we are also offering pre-approved appointments earlier in the day. There is absolutely no pressure to commit, but submitting an application in advance gives you the opportunity to meet with a dog or puppy before the public drop-in begins. Appointments will be scheduled in the order that applications are approved.

Low-Cost Nail Trim Clinic
Sundays: May 3rd, June 7th
11 Crooked Lane, Back Parking Lot from 1pm to 4pm
NiSHA has teamed up with two excellent veterinary technicians to offer affordable nail trims to the community. Join us from 1pm to 4pm in the back parking lot of Offshore Animal Hospital at 11 Crooked Lane. No appointment necessary—first-come, first-served.
Cats are welcome between 12:30 and 1pm and must be in carriers.
Payment is $25 (cash only).

Tito's Yappy Hour
Thursday, May 28th from 11:30 - 1:30pm
Bartlett's Farm
Stop by the Farm during our new day/time for a Yappy Hour on Thursday of Wine Festival. We will have Tito's cocktails, coffee by Atomic Coffee Roasters, snacks from Bartlett's, and, of course, DOGS. Tito’s has long been known for their charitable vision as the Vodka for Dog People. Their mission is to better the lives of pets and their families far and wide. This annual NWF fundraiser celebrates the island’s love and support of dogs, Tito’s generosity and mission – and NiSHA’s amazing dedication to our island animals. This is an official Nantucket Wine Festival event. We want to thank them for partnering with us and for their ongoing support!
100% of your ticket sales and donations will go to NiSHA. Tito’s Handmade Vodka will generously match all funds raised.

Farmers Markets
Saturdays: June 6, August 8, August 22 from 9am to 12pm
Cambridge and North Union Streets, Downtown Nantucket

Classic Cars and Dogs? Count us in! Join NiSHA and The Nantucket Series on Sunday, July 19th from 9:00-11:00AM for a casual family and dog friendly gathering of Nantucket's Classic Rovers and enthusiasts! All registration proceeds will benefit Nantucket's shelter animals.
BYO coffee and come visit our table (we might have some adoptable dogs with us!).

NiSHA’s 2026 Summer Gala, is shining a spotlight on the animals of Nantucket. Hosted by Co-Chairs Sara Finn, Jessica Newman and Arienne Rubenstein, the evening will feature festive fare, creative cocktails, and unforgettable moments with some very special furry friends. Dance the night away to the irresistible sounds of the nation’s #1 Earth, Wind & Fire tribute band, Let's Groove Tonight, and cheer on our four-legged stars as they compete to be the crowd favorite.
